Classic tours


Hanoi biking tour 1 day
We start from your hotel by van at 8.00 am, we will then load the bikes on our van before getting out of the city. Just a short drive about 45 min, we willl hit Hanoi's suburb for our kick-off. Today, we will cycle along the country roads which are paved and unpaved but very flat, see the friendly village life, meet interesting local people and visit one or two famous pagoda en routes (Tay Phuong and Thay Pagoda). Lunch break after then we keep moving to a beautiful nature area (Dong Mo lake) with some steep paths, not challenge but lots of great views.
The total time of cycling depend on your speed and visit but it will be likely about 4-5 hours on the saddle, there are also other routes for this day trip and you can always have it customized by our tour guide and driver.

1. Street festival to open in Hoi An


Central Quang Nam province will open a “street festival” on December 31, 2008 to promote Hoi An city’s image.

The festival, the first of its kind in Hoi An, a world cultural heritage, draws the participation of more than 300 local students and businesses, said the municipal People’s Committee deputy chairman, Nguyen Van Dung.

It will feature specific characteristics of people in the Northern, Central and the Southern Vietnam as well as cultures of Thailand, China, Japan, Australia and the Netherlands, he said.

“The festival’s message is that Vietnam wants be friend all other countries” Dung added.

During the event, a traditional art performance, a Merry Christmas ceremony, a cultural fair of ethnic groups and an exchange programme with foreigners will also be held to attract visitors.

Since early this year, the city has welcomed nearly 450,000 tourist arrivals, a year-on-year increase of 6 percent. Of the number, 320,000 were foreigners, up 7 percent over the same period last year.

Hoi An city was recognised as a world cultural heritage in 1999 by UNESCO.

2. Flower festival in Hanoi

Hanoi will hold a street flower festival from 31st December to 4th January around Hoan Kiem lake and Dinh Tien Hoang St to celebrate the capital's millennium(1010-2010). Flowers are to be displayed on cyclos and bicycles in the street as well as and in baskets on the pavement. A dragon made of flowers and 4m high and 5m long will be set in the centre of a street. The opening ceremony will feature 1.200 lanterns around Hoan Kiem lake . Ceramic works, giant fans a fashion show and music performances will be also featured.
